Very Pleasant Surprise

This afternoon I got a bouquet of flowers from a client of mine. Aside from flattering emails, in my four and a half years working here I’ve never gotten more than a Christmas card from a client, so I was incredibly touched at the gesture. The card read:

“Karen, Thank you for all your efforts. You are exactly what customer service means. Thank you very much! James and Rob”

Being appreciated is such a wonderful feeling!

WOW! That's always nice! Make a copy and put it in your file!

I'm pleasantly surprised when I have teachers sending envelopes stuffed with cards and pictures from the kids thanking me. I'm just doing my job, but it's so nice that someone else recognizes that.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. It's so easy to complain about bad service, but it's so much better to compliment good service. I should make an effort to do that.

By the way, do you want to install a T1 line in my house? Time Warner is raising prices and I can't get anything else bc I don't have a land line.

That is nice...it did make me think of the flirting thing you wrote about the other day, though... :-)

I know the client that sent those flowers to Karen, and they are not the flirting kind, believe me.

Those flowers were well deserved. James and Rob are two of the nicest people I know, and Karen really, really helped them. Saved them close to $4000 to hear James tell it. They were pretty flummoxed over their phone system and service, and now they feel pretty good about things.

Karen, you have a customer for life, I can tell you that already!
