I just checked my voice mail and smiled- 2 calls- 1 from Sarah Ford and 1 from Jenny Johnson. While I love hearing from them in general, both did something that I’m especially grateful for: Most every time I converse one of my friends at end the conversation, IM or voice mail we end with an “I love you”. Being a girl is great - guys just don’t get that mushy stuff from their friends. It’s nice to have regular reaffirmation that I’m cared about. Especially on days like today.

Who would want to be a guy? They punch, grunt, and make all kinds of unpleasant noises to each other and at each other. Blah! Love ya!!!
I'm very happy being a guy. And I don't make such noises around other guys. Those that do are called "boys", not men, and there is a true and sincere difference between the two
Wow, that comment sounded a lot harsher than I intended actually.
Sorry, stereotypes are a pet peeve of mine, of any type.
Unfortunately though, most stereotypes exist for a reason. I can't tell you how many times I think Kendall doesn't fit the typical male mold...and then he does something to totally negate that...like laugh at someone farting.
You have a very good point Lisa. The stereotypes do exist because of the ignorant and/or idiotic fools that fall into them.
It's such a shame that our culture loves to reinforce those stereotypes through TV, music videos, and movies. It's a bigger shame that people see those things, and then emulate them. My mother is teacher, and she combats those things on a daily basis. She's almost ready to retire because of how bad it has gotten.
Umm...did you just call my husband an idiotic fool because he sometimes fits the male stereotype?
Just checking.
Kendall is far from being an idiot. Guys go from being man to a boy in seconds... and then back again. Just like women go from girls then back to women... the giggling, googling, and fussing. It's just nature.
No, sure didn't Lisa. Momentary lapses are one thing, and happen to everyone. It's the ones live their entire lives that way that are the idiotic fools.
Those are the ones that have been in a certain mold so long they no longer have any power to break out of it. The sad part is most of them don't want to.
Wow.. look what you started Karen!
You are people after my own heart - I've been thinking all weekend about how I need to blog about stereotypes...not about those surrounding men, but those surrounding Italians!
