You Like Me, You Really Like Me!

I have determined that a sure-fire way to tell how comfortable another person is with you is by how much and how unabashedly they sing to the radio when they’re in your company. Especially true if, like me, you’re not vocally blessed. I take it as a great compliment when people “serenade” me in the car.

Tom will sing very rarely in the car and only to wierd songs I have never heard before and it took almost 7 months to serenade me in the car. It has not taken me that long with him. I like to sing to the radio, I am not vocally gifted, but figure the radio covers it up mostly.

While I agree with your assessment, if someone sings to the radio in your company, it usually means they like you. To take this one step further, if they pass gas they are comfortable in your presence too. :)

Ohhhh lord Jen!!! Karen, I would definitely sing to you in car but everytime we ride together, we listen to the news!! Nothing wrong with that... you know what... I can come in your office and sing along to your music!

This is so cute. I don't think anything like it has ever crossed my mind. :-)

As for Jen's passing gas comment, while I am flattered when people pass gas in my presence because they are comfortable with me, that doesn't stop me from hitting them...

Viki did you really just say you're FLATTERED when people pass gas in front of you!?!?! Having grown up with an older brother who's favorite thing to do is sit on me and pass gas I don't find it at all flattering!

Geez...I must hate everyone.

And I didn't realize my wife was flattered by the passing of gas. Now it's Katie-bar-the-door for farts and burps at home! Woo hoo!
