UD's Future

Watching the video of what my alma mater is planning for the future of campus makes me excited, nostalgic, and jealous. This video shows current and future campus and WOW the plans it shows.

Makes me wish, for yet another reason, that I was 17 years old and ready to start college. Sincerely, why would anyone want to go to school any place other than UD?!

I have no idea--but I feel the same way about Wittenberg!

1 - Dayton doesn't have an equestrian team.
2 - Dayton is more expensive than other great schools (paying out of state for UK was cheaper than going to a place like Dayton).
3 - Dayton is not a land grant insitution and therefore lacks in a lot of common programs (no accredited food science program).

Wow. I wonder what I would have done if I went to a school like that...??! Who would I be? What would I be doing? Would I be happy?

Obviously I'm with Jen. I feel the same way about my alma mater! Although I wouldn't want to go back and do it again. I'm quite happy with where I've been and where I'm at now.

i agree with all of you (except that I don't want to go back to those days for anything!) I see the $$ that has just recently been funneled into the horse program here and getting all the things we wanted when we were student...it's nice, but it would have been nicer if we had it back then too!
I also like to think that I played a role in their successes. Take for example the equestrian and dressage teams at UK...my friends, teammates, and I worked our butts off fundraising and promoting the teams....and both won nationals this year. Specifically the dressage team never could have won if 5 of my closest friends and I hadn't formed the team to begin with, never mind the work we put into it. I can take pride in that! (and a little thanks to Nikki Oehler for first pointing out that perspective)

HAHAHA, Kathy, there is not "going back" for you - you're STILL THERE!
bwuahahahaha
Yes. It really did amuse me that much.
I'm in an amazingly great mood today and with that comes silliness.
:)

I am happy to see Martha in such a good mood. :) I have to agree Kathy has never really left the school days. Will she ever?!?!
