Being Knocked Up

I have really great friends in my life and I'm blessed to be reminded of this regularly. Thanks, all, for the cards, CD, well-wishes and emails - I can’t tell you how appreciative both Jim and I are for your constant love and support!

Jim and I get weekly email updates as to what the kid is doing and the progress that it’s rapidly making. This week, we were informed that the baby is the size of a grape. That’s up from the kidney bean it was last Saturday. Not too shabby.

Also, I made my first step towards this whole pregnancy thing being more “real” this week. Sarah F and I were IMing and at the end of our conversation she told me she loves me, as she normally does, and then she added in “and I love your grape too!” I think I smiled for the next 2 hours over that one sentence.

You mean I can't call him Bean anymore?!? I agree with your 1st name and his middle name should be James :) Good thing I think it's a boy, I have no girl names for you yet.

How have I not been involved in the name discussion?

Glad I made you smile!

Wait, when did we start naming it? and I thought you didn't know what the sex was yet? I'm confused...

we don't know anything!

You didn't mention how ironic it was that you got your weekly update saying it was the size of a grape when you happen to be snacking on grapes. So it was perfect timing as I held a grape up to Karen's stomach :) Aw how fast CJ is growing!

Have I missed something in the name game??? I feel out of the loop!!! I go back to work and I'm lost!!! Help! LoL

You telling me that little E is the size of grape reminds me of when I emailed you the update weekly about the size and what Alex was doing. Man... I'm so glad that we had picked Alex for a girl or boy! :-D

here's the word, good people. Jim and i are guessing we're having a boy. if we do have a boy we're leaning towards the name Christopher James (hense Megan's CJ). THIS IS NOT SET! :) no one's out of the loop! there is no loop!

I think you're naming him CJ so that he can marry my daughter MJ someday...man, now I really need to get prego...and with a girl obviously!

Anything that can be turned into "_J" is a great name - Trey's TJ and my brother is AJ (anton johann) and it's fun. Then again, remember Devon? His cat's name was CJ...

I'm curious, why do you think you're having a boy?

Oooooo...I like this question.
I got the impression that she thinks she is having a boy because she thinks boys are easier than girls. :)

I think it's a boy because I think they got prego quickly. And they say the boy sperm can swim faster and harder.....all of the people I know who got pregnant within 6 months of trying, had a boy....

hahaha, my prediction is because you think boys are easier, "the grape" will be a girl!!

Karen just thinks its a boy because she wants her little girl (baby #2) to have an older brother since she didn't.

I love how I'm thinking for Karen now :)

And Carol... I was the one who thinks boys are easier... hence the fact that I will hire a nanny when I have a girl... and if I have twins.. one's going up for adoption. I'm sooo jk!

(note: Karen has twins from HS reading this). I would LOVE multiple births. 1 - who can deny how cute they are? 2 - any health problems and you have "spare parts" and 3 - you get more children w/ fewer labors.

Whoever said boys were easier hasn't had adolescent boys.....trust me, they are not easier. I have many gray hair to prove it.

I know better!!

Twins would be great.

On a completely different note, I have to say I really like how Karen's Blog now describes her as a "Holiday Enthusiast."

thanks for noticing, Trey!! :)

I think i'm having a boy because i never really saw myself having a girl first. Also, i have these ideas of how my second kid's older brother will protect her at school and how all of her brother's friends will think she's cute and want to date her.

yeah, i think about this crap wayyyyy too much.

and megan, you're allowed to think for me... to an extent. :)

I love how Karen's logic works...."I think I'm having a boy because I don't want a girl first". Hahaha! What you mean is you WANT a boy!
