Someone in my office brought in these store-bought cookies that are absolutely amazing. I do not normally like peppermint but these little suckers are chocolate chip with periodic white chips that have tiny peppermint candy balls that add
just enough to give the whole cookie a special taste. A Christmas-y twist on an old classic. Thank God the kitchen is like a 3 minute walk one way now or I’d be back getting another about every 15 minutes.

Those cookies sound sooo good! Who makes them?
Traitor Joe's has "Joe-Joes", which are essentially oreos with crushed peppermint in the cream filling.
Oh, and I work *IN* the kitchen. And the community snack area is the edge of MY bench. (I don't even have to walk...just turn to the left to get more).
The chocolate covered pretzels are just an arms reach away.
But so are the apples and pears from Harry & David. Apparently I'm the only one in the group touching the fruit.
Ohhhh Pears!
Why Traitor Joe's Martha? Is there something I don't know about them?
Fruit is better for you anyway. Eating it instead of the chocolate covered pretzels = less time at the gym. :-)
They can be great for consumers if you read labels (many people consider them to be healthy and organic and natural and they are not always. Some products are. all aren't.). In order for them to be inexpensive on consumers, they are high maintanence for their suppliers (they don't make any of their own food).
Hence the play on names: traitor. They can be hard to work with and they have a natural image, but not all natural products.
Don't get me wrong, I will buy from them; they really are darn cheap!
These cookies sound delicious! And you're pregnant, you can splurge and eat some of these...:P
