first and last black friday morning

Look at the time of this post. I've been in line for a half hour and have probably another hour to go. People are surprisingly polite but I can assure you my time and sanity is worth even thirty dollars in shipping from kohls. Whew!

Michaels to go (I need suction cups and can't wait) but my fingers will do the shopping the rest of the morning.

What's the idea behind Black Friday? Do you get better deals?

Dude, we hit Target up at 6AM and got the whole Sex and the City series for my mom for 70 bucks! Totally worth the trip!

We didn't get home til after 11. I was EXHAUSTED! So I feel your pain.

Did you get Nicole a kitchen? Meijer sold one for 20 bucks yesterday.

I hate to admit, but I do 75% of my retail shopping on-line. In fact, I think I would do my grocery shopping on line if I could get someone to deliver groceries to me. Black Friday was a wonderful thing. Slept in a bit, drank a pot of coffee, and hit Kohl's up about 9am. The only thing I did not get that was on my list was the flannel sheets for the bed, however I let my fingers do the walking and they will be here sometime this week. Gotta love that!!!!

Some of my favorite websites to shop: oplates.com, jcp.com, meijer.com (can look at the ads to help with my list), shutterfly.com, etc.

Give Jim and Nicky hugs from us! Ryan says Hi!

Jam - some stores will deliver your groceries, too, for a nominal fee (and it really is nominal). Some places, as long as you order enough, will do it for free. Unfortunately I only know of ones that aren't in Ohio...hmm.

I will never succomb to Black Friday shopping. Never have; never will. I'm afraid I'll get pushed over when stores will have similar deals next week. I saw an ad for Macy's after Thanksgiving sale - 20% off everything. Wahoo! When does Macy's ever NOT have 20% off everything?!??

I was sightseeing in New York on Black Friday and loved it!

No amount of deals and savings is worth someone's life. It's pathetic.

I love online shopping as well - that's what most of mine will be this year.

I'd Peapod as well except that I'm very picky about my produce, esepcially apples. I'll sit and sort through apples for several minutes to make sure I don't get dented/bruised ones. It's worth it in the end.
