Idiots

One of the lead Yahoo! videos today was a 911 call from an 11 year old boy who was turning his mother in for drunk driving. To hear that and the other examples they gave during the 2:30 story broke my heart. It’s so unfair for kids to have to be parents, and, as the story says, for the final outcome to be even worse- the families are often broken apart as a result.

Why can’t adults be adults?

On one hand, this can lead into the whole needing a license / permission to procreate argument.
On the other hand, if that had been in place, and she wasn't permitted children (as she apparently should not have!), then we would not have this exemplary 11 year old around. And that, in my opinion, would be the bigger shame.

You're right. Why can't adults be adults?
(but then, that also raises the argument of when is one an "adult"? At a certain age on the calendar? Once you hit puberty? Once you hit a certain milestone?)

I wish more adults would be adults. That made me get teary. How scary for the poor kid...
